We are once again thrilled to be able to offer you the Independent Scholarly Publishers Group (ISPG), collection of health sciences and life sciences journals to your library.

The ISPG journals, which collectively retail for $20,613, can be acquired for a deeply discounted price through HSLANJ, for anywhere between $2,800 if you are a single hospital with 250 beds or less, and $9,000 if you are a health system with 15-21 hospitals. There is a custom price for health systems with 22 hospitals, but even if you are that big, you’ll still get a BIG discount! Basically, it’s about a 90% discount when you sit down and do the math.

But extremely attractive discounts aren’t even the most important benefit about ISPG that benefits HSLANJ members. It is the first-rate content of the journals that matter above all. For example,

  • Critical Care Nurse features peer-reviewed articles focus on the bedside care of high acuity, progressive, and critical care patients.
  • The American Journal of Critical Care offers peer-reviewed research studies, case reports, and editorials for a multidisciplinary evidence-based practice in high acuity, progressive, and critical care.
  • The Bone and Joint Journal covers the advancement and improvement of education in orthopedic surgery and allied branches of surgery and the diffusion of knowledge of new and improved methods of teaching and practicing orthopedic surgery in all its branches’.
  • The American Journal of Health-System Pharmacy presents original articles on drug-use, the health-system/hospital pharmacist’s role in organized health care delivery, the drug therapeutics information that pharmacists need to perform their clinical roles.

These are just six of the 33 journals and two eBook collections that make up the ISPG Collection. I invite you to review the very attractive HSLANJ Member prices for ISPG and contact your Dragonfly/ISPG Sales Representative should you be interested in learning more information about the publications.

This article is part of a series, highlighting new products/collections available to medical librarians in the NNLM/MAR, NNLM/SEA, and NNLM/NER, via the HSLANJ Group Licensing Initiative’s Spring 2017 Offer.
